Interventional Radiology

The Interventional Radiology Department at Lawrence General Hospital is fortunate to have talented physicians on staff, many of whom have trained at some of the most renowned hospitals in the country. These experts are performing highly specialized procedures including Uterine Fibroid Embolizations, minimally invasive treatment for Peripheral Arterial Disease, and CryoAblation procedures to treat cancer-related tumors. These minimally invasive procedures help minimize hospital length of stay and limit post-operative pain. In fact, many patients can receive care on an outpatient basis and return home the same day.

These techniques are also used to establish longer term intravenous access for patients needing Port-a-Caths, as well access points for Dialysis patients. Members of the treatment team include highly trained interventional radiologists, radiologic technologists and specially skilled nurses.
