Lawrence General Hospital is proud to join the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN) for 2020 Malnutrition Awareness Week. It takes place from October 5 - 9 and is designed to:
- Educate health care professionals about early detection and treatment of malnutrition.
- Educate consumers/patients on the importance of discussing their nutritional status with healthcare professionals.
- Increase awareness of nutrition’s role in patient recovery.
Lawrence General's registered dietitians are leading an effort at the hospital to provide health care professionals with valuable educational webinars and sharing of informational materials. These webinars will be communicated daily to staff if they are interested in participating. A continuing education credit is available for most of the webinars. ASPEN is accredited to provide medical, pharmacy, nursing and dietetic credits.
