March 18, 2015 — Lawrence General and Pentucket Medical Associates will celebrate the opening of Andover Medical Center with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, March 18th at 5:45 pm. With the opening of this unique facility, these collaborators will offer a full complement of primary and urgent care services in one easy location. On the three floors of the newly opened Andover Medical Center, families will find pediatric and adult primary care and urgent care provided by Pentucket Medical Associates, Women’s Health Imaging and laboratory services through Lawrence General, and obstetrics and gynecologic care through Andover OB/GYN.

Pentucket Medical Associates president Dr. Tom Fazio is pleased with the community response. “We actually opened for patients in mid-December, and have been very gratified with the comments we’ve received. Patients know us already. These providers have been in the community for a long time, so there is confidence in our capabilities. They understand that by bringing such a broad complement of primary health services into one location, with flexible hours, including seven-day-a-week coverage for urgent health issues, we are putting the needs and convenience of families first.”
Specifically for women, Andover OB/GYN brings its busy practice to this new location, complemented by the capabilities by Lawrence General’s Women’s Health Imaging team. Andover Medical Center is one of two sites offering Lawrence General’s new 3-D mammography technology, which allows physicians to spot potential problems on a mammogram earlier than ever before, increasing early detection of cancers and reducing “false positives” that require additional images.
At the center, located at 323 Lowell Street--right off I-93 on Route 133--patients of all ages will receive care in airy spaces, designed with their needs in mind. All providers in the center are currently accepting new patients and walk-ins are welcome at ExpressCare and Women’s Health Imaging.
