Andover Surgical Associates is pleased to announce that board-certified surgeons Brian Kwitkin, MD, and Seungwhan Pee, MD, have joined the general surgery team. Dr. Kwitkin is now seeing patients at Andover Medical Center while Dr. Pee’s primary location is at Lawrence General Hospital, although he will see some patients at Andover Medical Center, as well.
Dr. Kwitkin specializes in advanced laparoscopic and minimally invasive procedures, including anti-reflux procedures, small bowel/colon resections, hernia repair, and peritoneal dialysis access. Dr. Pee’s primary specialty is critical care and trauma care.
“We’re excited about the addition of these two general surgeons,” says Robin Hynds, RN, MSN, Lawrence General Chief Clinical Integration Officer and Vice President, Care Continuum and Network Development. “Their surgical contributions signify another step we have made to enhance patient accessibility and to keep care local.”
Dr. Kwitkin recently completed a Mastery in General Surgery fellowship through the University of Florida/St. Vincent’s Hospital following completion of his surgical training at Cooper University Hospital in New Jersey.
Dr. Pee earned his fellowship in Trauma/Surgical Critical Care at Westchester Medical Center. He graduated from Chungnam National University Medical School and completed his residency at Westchester Medical Center.
Earlier this year, Andover Surgical Associates joined Lawrence General through its physician practice, Community Medical Associates. Their practice is now located at Andover Medical Center on Route 133 in Andover. Patients can access the West Entrance and go to Suite 302 on the third floor for appointments.
