Volunteer

Volunteers are an important part of Lawrence Hospital and our community. Each year, nearly 400 volunteers give more than 20,000 hours to support our hospital, staff, patients and visitors.

There are many ways to get involved, including:

  • Supporting staff, patients and visitors on nursing units and in Radiology, Surgical Day Care and the Emergency Center
  • Greeting visitors and helping them find their way around the hospital
  • Serving as a patient representative and helping address individual needs during a hospital stay

Explore current volunteer opportunities to see all available roles and find one that fits your interests, schedule and experience.

Why volunteer?

Volunteering is a meaningful way to give back, meet people and make a difference in your community. Some volunteers give their time as a way to thank the hospital for care they or a loved one received. Others enjoy staying active and building relationships with people from different generations and backgrounds.

For high school and college students, volunteering can also provide an opportunity to explore healthcare careers and gain experience in a professional environment.
