By completing your physical therapy at Lawrence General Hospital, you have all of the resources of the region’s leading critical care hospital available to you. From diagnosis to treatment to recovery, the continuity of care provided for you here is second-to-none. Our top notch physical therapists work closely with your physician, orthopedic surgeon, or other specialists to provide complete and comprehensive care for you all in one convenient location, and according to your schedule.
What are your hours of operation? We are open Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and on Fridays from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Where is the outpatient center located? From the Main Lobby, take the elevators to the Second Floor. The reception area is just off this elevator.
How often do I need to go to physical therapy? Once evaluated, a treatment schedule will be determined between the therapist and your physician. A typical course of physical therapy includes three treatment sessions per week for four to six weeks.
Do I have to do exercises at home? Studies have shown that exercising at home, in addition to treatment at the center, speeds recovery.
What should I wear to my physical therapy sessions? Please wear loose fitting clothing.
Can I bring a caretaker or friend with me? Only therapy patients are permitted in the treatment area. There is a waiting area for caretakers, friends or family members. Our therapy area is not equipped to accommodate children or other guests, only our patients.
