Meet Our Upper Extremity Surgeons


Pamela L. Jones, MD, specializes in orthopedic care of the upper extremity from the shoulder to the fingertips. She has subspecialty training expertise and completed a Hand and Upper Extremity fellowship at Yale University. Dr. Jones is also a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. She has been recognized throughout the region as an exceptionally successful hand and upper extremity surgeon, serving patients in our region for many years. Xavier C. Simcock, MD. After residency, Dr. Simcock completed a two-year fellowship in surgery of the Hand, Wrist, Shoulder, and Elbow at the Cleveland Clinic. He is one of the first five physicians nationwide to receive this type of comprehensive fellowship sponsored by the American Society for the Surgery of the Hand. Dr. Simcock is a member of the American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons, American Society for the Surgery of the Hand, and candidate member of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons. Dr. Josh Pletka, MD, is new to our community, coming from an active practice in Syracuse, New York, where he was also an adjunct professor at the State University of New York Upstate, Department of Orthopedics. He specializes in both open and arthroscopic surgeries of the hand, wrist and shoulder, including complex rotator cuff repair, reconstructive surgery, primary and revision shoulder replacement and repair of fractures. Richard Choi, MD, has a special focus on hand surgery, upper extremity injuries and trauma. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Academy of Hand surgeons, and the Massachusetts Medical Society.
