New England Lamplighter Award for lawrencegeneral.org
Lawrence General Hospital's new website has received the 2012 Lamplighter Award of Excellence
from the New England Society of Healthcare Communications (NESHCo.)
The award was bestowed on May 17th at the Lamplighter Awards Dinner at the NESHCo regional conference, at the Boston Marriott Long Wharf.
Lawrence General's site was selected for the Best Web Site Redesign Award
for a number of new features: improved, simple navigation for users, a free online health library, key information available in English and Spanish, live ER Wait Times fed directly and securely from patient bed boards, a physician finder feature, links to social media and clinical affiliates, and more. The growth in user traffic throughout the site, and the retention/bounce rate for the web site were also factors in the award selection. Page views for the new site have topped 450,000 since going live in June of 2011.
"The Lawrence General Hospital website is an example of the best and brightest work produced in our area,” said Lee Reynolds Crouch, APR, President of NESHCo. “The website is creative, innovative and results-driven and showcases Lawrence General extremely well.”
Many thanks to all the LGH clinicians and staff who brought the new site to fruition for our on line community, as well as our creative partners at 360 Communications and our technical partners at Silvertech. Thanks to our community for the input and constant feedback on our site.
