LGH Expands Access to Affordable, Local Insurance Options
High Quality Care, Now Even More Affordable - Officials at Lawrence General Hospital (LGH) announced that it will be able to offer patients expanded access to affordable care options through available Limited Network Products. With the rising demand for affordable health care and ever-increasing health care costs, Limited Networks provide patients with a growing solution: comprehensive, quality health care at a lower cost, with annual savings of anywhere from 10-20%. As of April 1, 2012, Lawrence General Hospital is part of Harvard Pilgrim Health Care’s Focus Network-MA, a limited network that is designed to increase health care options while lowering costs. In addition, LGH patients will now reap the benefits of a recently enhanced network with Fallon Community Health Program’s Fallon Direct Care. Both of these products are in addition to the currently offered Tufts Select Care with Tufts Health Plan, and represent partnerships between LGH and three of the four largest health insurers in the state that provide significant costs savings to patients.
These limited networks consist of medical care organizations, like Lawrence General Hospital and its Physicians, that offer consumers overall health care savings by ensuring that the providers within the network keep their costs more affordable while maintaining a high level of quality. “Lawrence General Hospital has endeavored to provide its community with the most options for high quality, low cost health care available in the marketplace. Being a part of these limited network plans allows us to do just that, and we’re happy to provide those savings direct to our patients,” states Daniel Concaugh, Sr., Vice President of Network Development at Lawrence General Hospital.
If patients have any of these limited network plans, they now have options for quality health care at a lower cost through the expanded access to health benefits of the network, including routine, preventive, specialty and emergency care. Lawrence General Hospital sees this as a win-win for its community, and for the patients who struggle to find the quality health care they deserve, at a price they can afford.
