The Joint Commission (TJC) has formally accredited Lawrence General Hospital, after a thorough commission panel 3-day survey and inspection, which LGH passed with a minimal number of corrective measures, all of which have been completed. TJC accredits over 17,000 health care organizations and programs in the United States and is a leader is promoting patient safety within the health care industry. Health care organizations are subject to 3-year accreditation cycles. The accreditation process begins with an unannounced, rigorous 3-day review of the Hospital's processes and procedures ensuring compliance with all TJC standards for patient safety. Lawrence General Hospital has been licensed and accredited continuously since 1953, and Lawrence General has once again received the Gold Seal of Approval designation from The Joint Commission.
