FAQs

How can I apply for a position I'm interested in?
All applicants must apply online by clicking here. We do not accept resumes that are sent to us by email, mail or fax.

I don't always have access to a computer to apply for a position online. What can I do?
If you need access to a computer, resources are available at your public library or local career center. Here are a few of them:

I don't have a resume. Can I still apply?
Yes, you can apply for positions online even if you don't have a resume. Your completed, online application will allow us to compare your skills and experience against the job requirements.

I've submitted an application online. Will I hear back from someone in Human Resources?
When you apply online, you will receive an email response acknowledging your application submission. Our recruitment staff will promptly review your application. If you meet the qualifications of the position, you will be contacted within a 2-4 week timeframe.

Please note that due to the large volume of applicants for positions, we are not able to respond to all applications.

I'm interested in working at Lawrence General, but I don't see an open position that I'm qualified for or interested in at this time. Can I submit my resume anyway?
No. All applications or resumes must be in response to a job currently posted on the website. Our job postings are current and reflect our open positions.

What does Per Diem mean?
Per Diem means "per day." Employees who are per diem are scheduled on an as-needed basis and are not eligible to receive benefits.

What is a pre-employment health screen?
When you have accepted an offer for a position, it is a prerequisite that you successfully pass a pre-employment health screen and have proof of certain tests and immunizations. A representative from Human Resources will contact you to schedule your appointment. Lawrence General Hospital has a new Tobacco-Free Hiring Policy, effective March 1, 2012.
